Conceptual statement

At the start of the project we liked the idea of incorporating a dog into our design, as we could get a different perspective of the city.

We played around a bit with the placement of the cameras. if it was on the collar it would shake too much, if it was on the dogs head, it would be far too heavy and uncomfortable for the dog.

So we ended up placing the cameras on a triangular steel frame on the dogs back, as this was the strongest part of the dog so it wouldn't have much trouble lifting it up.

After we put together the first device, we tested it on the dog and it didn't seem to like it much. We then decided it needed some more support to keep it upright and make it lighter for the dog. Putting support legs with wheels on the side seemed like the best idea, this helped to steady the camera and prevent it from tipping over, it also made the device much more comfortable for the dog to walk around with.

The final film is in black and white as this emphasizes the dogs perspective of how it views the city.
